Abstract

The mother's role in the meet of oral hygiene is very important to reduce the occurrence of dental caries in preschools children. Preschoolers has low personals hygiene and still in the developmental process. The aimed of this research was to determine the context of the mother's role in the meet of oral hygiene with the incidence of dental caries in preschools children 4 - 6 years old at kindergarten of Kusuma Mulia XVIII Sumberbendo Pare Kediri. The research methods used correlational design with a retrospective approach. Purposive sampling was used to obtain 26 samples of mothers who eligible as inclusion criteria. Measuring tool used a questionnaire to the mother's role in the meet of oral hygiene and observation for occurrence of dental caries in preschool children, then its analyzed by spearman rho. The result of the research showed that (76, 9%) mothers has role in the meet of oral hygiene that was in sufficient category. Whereas (80, 8%) the children had medium category. The results after the calculation using the Spearman rho test indicated for correlation coefisien = -0,515 and p value = 0,007 that means the association  between mother's role in the meet of oral hygiene with the incidence of dental caries in preschools children. Reducing the incidence of dental caries is not only depend on the mother's role toward meet of oral hygiene, but also to the other factors such as food, micro-organisms, bad habits of the children in keeping oral dental hygiene and mouth, tooth brushing pattern, the shape of the teeth, and history of children's milk when as a baby which causes the dental caries.

Abstract

Overcrowding patients is a crisis  problem in hospital and plays a significant role as a front line in hospital which performing good and bad quality of care. Length of Stay (LOS) patients admission measurement indicator toward service process and patients density marker. Length of stay has important essence in reviewing process because helping to identify the cause of action delay and elongated LOS. EDLOS is influenced by input and trough put factor. Input factor: age, coming time, main complaint and co-morbidity. Trough put factor: triage level, door to doctor, the quickness in laboratory check, the quickness in specialist consultation and patients transfer to nursing room, staffing. This study is aimed to analyze the correlation of causing factor on action delay with LOS patients admission  in Prof. Dr. W. Z. Johannes Public Hospital Kupang. This study uses cross sectional approach and quota sampling by the number of 200 patients and nurses also doctors. Data was collected by observation sheet. Result of this study shows that there are significant correlation between co-morbidity with LOS patients admission (p value = 0,001 and r = - 0,227), between the quickness of specialist consultation with LOS patients admission (p value = 0,001 and r = 0,238) and between patients transfer to nursing room LOS patients admission (p value = 0,000 and r = 0,699). Based on the result of linear regression test, it is concluded that factor that has very close correlation with LOS patients admission patients transfer to nursing room (p value < 0,001, regression coefficient 0,015 and correlation coefficient 0,774). Conclusion: co-morbidity, specialist consultation and patients transfer to nursing room is LOS patients admission predictor. Developing centralized bed control dan transporter is mandatory for decrease overcrowding and LOS patients admission in emergency department.

Data collection was a questionnaire about fatigue scores in children and child physical exercise performed before undergoing chemotherapy. Data were analyzed by independent t test. The mean score of fatigue in children who do physical exercise was 39.86 with a standard deviation of 6.98. In children who do not do physical exercise, the average fatigue score was 46.62 with a standard deviation of 7.60. it can be concluded that there was a significant differences in fatigue scoring between children who did physical exercise and didnt do that ( p value 0.017).In conclusion physical education programs in patients with cancer are hopefully controlled, coordinated and sustainable, and became one of the nursing intervention in patients with cancer who experience fatigue.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the impacts most affected by the incidence of postpartum depression in the working area of public health Malang City. The research used descriptive correlational method with cross sectional, with purposive sampling of 70 respondents in the period April 26th, 2017 - May 30th, 2017. The results are 93% of post-partum mothers experience moderate depression affecting low breast-feeding ability 54.3%, poor marital relationship situation 52.9% and moderate emotional bonding disturbances 47.1%. The result of bivariate analysis is known to the effect of postpartum depression, namely breastfeeding ability (p value = 0,011), marital relationship situation (p value = 0.014), emotional bond (p value = 0,021). The results of logistic regression test showed that the impact most influenced by postpartum depression was the ability of breastfeeding (p value = 0,011; ExpB 6,394). Postpartum mothers can predict the incidence of depression by looking at three aspects directly including the breastfeeding self-efficacy, marriage partnership and mother-infant bonding. Of the three aspects of the most influential is the breastfeeding self-efficacy.
